Shamirpet lake is a man-made lake that was created more than 50 years ago to meet the local area's water demands. It was dug by the Shamirpet area's then-Jagirdar. The local Telugu name for this lake is "Pedda Cheruvu," which translates to "big lake."
Hyderabad has many attractive tourist attractions. Shamirpet lake is a stunning man-made lake, which is roughly 27 miles from Secunderabad, is the epitome of tranquilly and peace.
Its around an hour drive from Hyderabad city it is a great place especially evening. Not much crowd so peaceful . sunset was great to watch. it is a nice place to spend a few hours with family and friends.
The area around the lake is covered in a large expanse of greenery and one will be able to spot several types of plants and trees here.
